Customer Service First-Class

A career skills education in customer service best practices, using a curriculum by Development Dimensions International
PictureA fulfilling career in customer service is five classes away!
What's the first rule of business?
"The customer is always right." (And the second rule is that if the customer is ever wrong, see Rule #1.)

But good customer service goes well beyond that old saying – it is both a time-honored art and an up-to-the-minute science that can be the key to understanding what a business of any size needs to succeed.

Customer Service First Class is a program of Pennsylvania Women Work that aims to provide participants with the skills to make customer service a key part of what they have to offer in the workplace. In just five day-long sessions, participants complete a customer service best practices curriculum created by Development Dimensions International, a global talent cultivation firm renowned for its cutting-edge insights into the professional world and what makes top job candidates tick. Completion comes with a certification that conveys to prospective employers just how much added value you'll be bringing to your new job!

Customer service representatives interact with customers on behalf of an organization. They provide information about products and services and respond to customer service inquiries and/or complaints. Many customer service representatives work in call centers, insurance agencies, banks, stores, or other places that have contact with customers. Most work full-time, although part-time and variable schedules are also common. Typically there is additional on-the-job training as well.
