Community Partner Spotlight: The Digital Foundry

Strong partnerships create stronger career pathways.

The Digital Foundry, a smart manufacturing training lab in New Kensington, and PA Women Work are proving that technical skills and job readiness go hand in hand. Together, we’re preparing job seekers for success by combining hands-on advanced manufacturing training with the career coaching and professional development needed to thrive in today’s workforce.

Our team at PA Women Work recently delivered resume writing and interview workshops as part of the Digital Foundry’s advanced manufacturing course, ensuring participants graduated with both technical expertise and the confidence to secure employment. Several students from that course later enrolled in PA Women Work’s career coaching services, a testament that the partnership is already creating meaningful pathways beyond the classroom.

The connection between our organizations felt natural from the start.

“We share a common purpose: the improvement of lives and shaping success with future-ready skills,” said Diane Hightower, Workforce Development and Community Engagement Coordinator at the Digital Foundry.

That shared commitment has created a partnership where participants benefit from the strengths and services of both organizations.

“If organizations like ours want to do it right, we do not want to do it alone,” shared Stephen Leonard, Operations/Program Manager at The Digital Foundry.
