Volunteer Spotlight: Kanvi Sharma

When Kanvi Sharma first connected with PA Women Work, it was as a client seeking new opportunities after a layoff. Encouraged by her 3 Cups of Coffee mentor, Emily, Kanvi decided to give back to the organization by volunteering and donating.

“Emily suggested volunteering as a way to put myself out there and make new connections,” Kanvi shared. “She was absolutely right.”

Kanvi joined the Circle of Hope planning team while still on the job hunt and was greeted with kindness and support from her fellow volunteers. “People I had just met offered to help with referrals and resume reviews. It was such a sweet and surreal moment,” she recalled.

Since then, Kanvi landed a new job as a Product Owner with Hilton and continues to stay deeply engaged with the organization. She serves on the Volunteer Ambassador Council, supports events like Working 9-to-5 BINGO, and contributes monthly as a member of our monthly giving circle, the Coffee Club.

When asked why she volunteers, Kanvi shared how moved she was at Circle of Hope and hearing stories from other women who have gone through PWW’s programs. “I left feeling hopeful, motivated, and proud to be part of this amazing community. Volunteering with PA Women Work has helped me build lasting connections and given me a true sense of purpose.”
