Circle of Hope Gala 2013
Thank you to all of our generous sponsors, silent auction donors, volunteers, attendees and everyone else who made this year's Circle of Hope event such a great success!
Pennsylvania Women Work’s premier fundraising event each year is the Circle of Hope gala. This event, which is held each fall in downtown Pittsburgh, honors a business leader from the Pittsburgh region for his/her commitment to Pennsylvania Women Work. In addition to this honor, several New Choices graduates are recognized with the Yvonne Zanos Women of Courage Award for their professional and personal success. All proceeds of the evening benefit Pennsylvania Women Work programs.
The 13th Annual Circle of Hope event was held on October 24, 2013, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Omni William Penn Hotel. This year’s Circle of Hope Honoree was Morgan O’Brien, Chief Executive Officer of Peoples Natural Gas. Peoples Natural Gas has been an ongoing supporter of our organization and we are extremely grateful for their involvement. We are also thankful for our Honorary Co-Chairs: Lisa Peters, Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Executive Vice President of BNY Mellon, and Richard Riazzi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Duquesne Light.
This year’s first-ever honorary Yvonne Zanos Woman of Courage was Dr. Cynthia J. Gormley, Community Resources Specialist at the Department of Community and Economic Development. She assists over 400 nonprofits with information, support, resources and planning and holds a doctorate degree in Information Systems and Communications from Robert Morris University.
This year's gala featured a plated dinner, cash bar, music and silent auction.
Thank you again to everyone who made this year's Circle of Hope such a wonderful evening. We hope to see you all again next year!
