Women helping women, both behind and in front of the camera

Pennsylvania Women Work's 3 Cups of Coffee® is the subject of a new Public Service announcement and short documentary produced by Women in Film and Media: Pittsburgh, with the help of student mentees from Point Park University and Chatham University.

PA Women Work was chosen as this year's annual recipient of the organization's free film services. The organization donated over $30,000 worth of skilled film crew labor and use of professional equipment to film a 30-second public service announcement and a five-minute documentary.

The best part: while mentorship was the subject of both the PSA and the documentary, it was also part of how they were made. The film students who participated worked alongside seasoned professionals to experience both the tricks of the trade and how it can be used to give back, firsthand.
