An update for our 3 Cups of Coffee Program:
With the scare of COVID-19 rising in the United States, we want to take every precaution to keep all of you healthy. During this time, for our 3 Cups of Coffee mentees and mentors who continue their meetings, we are asking them to do so virtually.
Virtual mentoring is easy, and we promise, you can still build a strong connection without meeting in person. Here are some steps to follow to get your virtual mentoring up and running:
STEP ONE: Choose an online platform that works for both of you. We recommend using Google Hangouts, Zoom, Skype or Facetime. Click on each word to be directed to a tutorial on how to use each platform!
STEP TWO: Determine a date/time and make an account. Each platform we've recommended is a little different. You might already have an account for some, and for others, you might not need an account to use it. Follow the tutorials linked above, and you should be good to go!
STEP THREE: Depending on the platform, send a link or calendar request to your mentee/mentor. Decide which one of you is scheduling the meeting, and from there, make sure you know what is needed in the platform of your choice to get connected.
STEP FOUR: Start connecting! Once you have everything up and running, you can conduct your virtual meeting just as you would if you were in person. We suggest even brewing up your own pot of coffee!
Thank you for your cooperation. It is our goal to continue helping job-seeking women during this time, but it is most important to keep all of you safe and healthy.
If you have any questions about getting started virtually, please contact Taneshya Williams at [email protected] or 412-904-1345.
